Day Five

Day five here. The other dogs taught me to count so I finally know what day it is. They said I'd learn the days of the week next week.
Today I got to spend the entire day OUT of my crate! I had a BLAST! Whenever I had to poop, I just went in the garage! How cool is that?! Then I found a nice pair of foam slippers to chew on. That was fun but I soon got bored with that. I spent a lot of time outdoors - you know I figured out the doggie door all by myself! I loved having the freedom to go inside and outside as I pleased. Mamma came home and didn't seem pleased about all the poo in the garage, hmm.. but I was feeling much better. Mamma says that the red bumps all over my belly are starting to go away and I can definitely tell my feet are turning back to normal color from the purple they were. I even think my hair is getting fluffier too.

Mamma was here for a little bit then left and brought home a small person. He was so loud and running around the kitchen, he scared me. I ran around in circles in the kitchen and then just went outside and curled up in my bed out there. I didnt trust him. It was cold but I didnt know what to think of that loud person. Mamma called me back and and said to go in my crate. She closed the door and I felt much safer. She told the other little person to only say "good girl" which made me feel a lot safer. They were working on some papers for a good while and just listening to their calm low voices at the table lulled me into a nice nap. It's almost time for bed anyway and I had one busy day. Good night!

Day Four

Today was Monday whatever that means. I spent most of the day in the crate until Mamma came home. I was sure glad to get out and stretch my legs. I ran around but then I got so itchy. Mamma says I bray like a donkey. What's a donkey? I got to sleep in the kitchen with my crate open. That was cool.

Day Three

Mamma tells me it's Sunday. I have no idea what that means but I like the sun so it must be a great day! We spend the morning outside. It's cool and the sun feels great. I'm starting to really like Mamma. She gives me lots of attention and the other 3 are pretty nice too. I know they aren't after me now. The other dogs were getting too close to my crate so I snapped at them. Mamma didn't like that. Now I'm in the kitchen all by myself.

Later that afternoon I got some free-time in the backyard by myself. It was nice. I didn't cry for Mamma too much and stretched out in the sun. Mamma called me in, fed us dinner and started cooking something on the stove that smelled really good. Perogies I think but don't ask me how I know that. I thought everything was good but I was still a little bit hungry- that full bowl of dog food didn't fill me up apparently. I found some yummy uncooked biscuits on the counter and helped myself to 4 of them. Mamma did like that very much so back into the crate I went.

I learned a lot today but ready to call it a night.

Day Two

"It's still dark outside and I am woken up by the other three dogs barking with excitement. 'Mamma's coming, Mamma's coming!!' they shout. Who's Mamma!?
I can hear some creaking boards above me but have no idea what that means until I see the girl come around the corner of the kitchen. Oh that's Mamma I guess. Well, at least I know what to call her now! First thing she comes to my crate and lets me out. Outside it is cold and dark and I go to the grass and do my business. I get rewarded by Mamma! Cool. I like rewards from Mamma.

We all get a nice breakfast and I'm so hungry I gobble it all down. Mamma is busy running around the kitchen and before I know it, we go outside for another romp and then I'm back in the crate and she's out the door.

She returns when the sun is up and we spend some time in the backyard. The grass is so soft and feels great on my back and the sun feels nice on my skin. Mamma sits next to me and talks to me and pets me gently on areas that I still have fur. I guess she is ok. I rub up against her but she tells me to lay down and points to the ground. Ok, I like the grass so I drop down. She gets all excited. I think I do like Mamma so I stick close to her. She's usually just goes to get the fuzzy round thing she calls a Ball to throw for the other dogs. I try really hard to listen to her and to behave. It is much nicer here and I don't think I've ever seen such green grass. We go inside and I go to my crate. Mamma's made me a really nice bed in there which I love. It's so much better than chicken wire and dirt. I'm still so itchy and miss my friends so I decide to take a nap.

Mamma leaves for a little bit but since I'm already in my crate, she just gives me a soft rub on the head. She didn't close my crate door this time! Wow! The other 3 are here in the kitchen with me. I sleep mostly but feel comforted that they are around.

Mamma comes and I wake up. She feeds all of us dinner. I'm not very hungry. I'm still just so itchy and still really miss my friends. She gives me my medicine wrapped in a piece of turkey! Well, I can always eat a piece of turkey! The sun has set and I'm feeling a little bit better. Today was a good day.

Day One

Today I was picked up by this girl. She took me to her house and I met her other 3 dogs. They seemed curious about me but I still don't trust them. I'm very itchy and tired and I miss my friends. I howl myself to sleep after dinner.
